2006-2007

The Robotics Team at Evergreen Valley High School officially started in the October of 2007, advised by the EVHS Tech Core teacher, Ms. Irene Teninity. They participated in the 2007 Northern California Botball Competition and the International Botball Tournament in Honolulu, Hawaii. The team won 1st place in Documentation and 5th place Overall at the Regional Tournament.

2007-2008 Team Picture
The team became a student-run organization after Mrs. Bernadette Salgarino, an EVHS Math Teacher, became the advisor to the team. As an off-season event, the team competed in the National Research and Design Challenge and won 2nd place for their lunar rover design. The team once again participated in the Botball Educational Robotics Program, rounding several trophies at the regional tournament and placing 3rd overall at the International Botball Tournament in Norman, Oklahoma.

2008-2009

FIRST The EVHS Robotics Team entered in the FIRST Robotics Competition as a rookie team #2854. With help from the NASA Ames/Bellarmine Robotics Team and their robotics lab the team constructed the robot “The Prototype”. At the FIRST Sacramento Regional, the team finished as quarterfinalist and won two awards for their efforts: Rookie Inspiration Award and Highest Rookie Seed Award.

Botball The team also continued to participate in the Botball Educational Robotics Program, competing at the Northern California Regional Tournament as well as the International Botball Competition in Washington, D.C.
