The Evergreen Valley High School Robotics Team is a student organization offering engineering opportunities to students. We participate in two robotics competitions, FIRST and Botball, both of which promote student interest in science, technology, engineering, and math. By joining the team, students can:

  • Gain valuable experience in machining, programming, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, graphics design, etc
  • Learn life skills including communication, time management, teamwork, and leadership
  • Apply science and math knowledge through engineering and technology
  • Meeting professional engineers and business leaders at conferences and competitions
  • Have opportunities to exclusive scholarships and internships

Couple Things You Should Know

  • Team members are expected to pay for their team t-shirts, safety glasses, food/drink, and travel expenses.
  • Team members may spend large amounts of time working on robots and attending events. They are expected to manage their own time.

Be Involved

The EVHS Robotics Team requires your support. There are numerous ways you can be involved:

  1. Assist with logistics and food. You can help:
    • provide food/drinks
    • drive students to events
    • supervise meetings
    • purchase materials
    • chaperone trips
  2. Help us with fundraising. Find out if your company is interested in sponsoring our team, donating materials, or offering discounts. Do you know someone who would be interested in sponsoring the team or offering a workspace? Let us know.
  3. Provide mentoring support. If you are an engineer or a professional, you can become a mentor of the team. We need mentors in a wide-range of areas including but not limited to mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, graphics design, fundraising, and public relations.
  4. Join our SchoolLoop Group. Students on the team use the SchoolLoop Group on a day-to-day basis to communicate, discuss ideas, collaborate on projects, etc. If you’re interested in what’s going on behind-the-scenes, you are welcome to join our SchoolLoop Group.

If you are interested in helping out, let us know by sending us an email.
