Why You Should Join

Joining the robotics team is one of the best decisions you can make in your high school career.

  • No prior experience necessary! Whether you’re a math genius or a poet, we have something for you to do.
  • Learn! You’ll gain experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and programming. If want to learn something, we’ll teach you.
  • Creativity and Innovation are valued! Students design, build, and program the robots from scratch. We even work together to develop unique game strategies.
  • Travel! We’ve traveled many places for competitions and conferences — places we’ve been include Hawaii and Washington, D.C. We plan on going to Atlanta and St. Louis this year!
  • Scholarships! As a robotics team member, you have exclusive opportunities to more than 50 scholarships.
  • Internships! Each summer, internships are offered to students on robotics teams. For instance, two students from the EVHS Robotics Team were interns at the NASA Ames Robotics Lab.
  • Meet People! At competitions, conferences, and workshops, you’ll have the opportunity to meet professional engineers, business leaders, and like-minded peers.
